And they convinced me to drop the puke-inducing anime I was struggling to get through. In that bland anime, the girl just wants to be as useful as possible, and the guy had less personality than a bar of soap.

Eww..Air is not the Key anime to be watching. If there’s a Key anime you should be watching, it should be Clannad. The main girl character is also kinda bland, but she’s tolerable, and the story that happens and the way it’s told is amazing.
